Karen was raised in Petoskey Michigan & relocated to Naples in 1984. Karen began her career in Mortgage Lending in 1997. Frustrated with working for others & feeling that clients' needs w
ere not always the priority, she opened her own business, Benchmark Home Mortgage, in 1999. Her business eventually grew to 5 offices in Florida & Germany & 40 employees. In 2006 she decided to sell her share of the company to her two business partners. She worked with them until 2009 then took a few years thereafter to explore another branch of Financial Services, insurance. However, she never really felt at home in that arena.  Being back in the Mortgage Finance business has given Karen a sense of pride and satisfaction.
